"It's all about yellow" To stay connected, communication is key. But, to stay connected with others there needs to be some connection to self. Without connection to self, we have little control over what messages we put out there. Are we being honest? Are we representing who we really are? On those days when we are not who we really are because our communication is screwy, the messages we send out may be a garbled mess and our connections to others feel false. I once heard a color specialist who looks at colors through their psychological value and impact say that "Yellow is the color of communication." I have no idea if this is really true, but she seemed adamant. Even though I am a person who can't wear yellow - it makes me look extremely ill - I am drawn to it as a color. When the theme of Passages V came up as how do we stay connected, I kept thinking of yellow. That's all I thought about. That color specialist had an impact. As a writer, I connect to others through words. Often I have trouble figuring out what my real message is. After doing some research about yellow on the Internet, I saw just what it is about yellow that interests me. Here's my connection to you through words on a mailbox. It's all about yellow.
